En dejlig musikalsk tradition - Skagen har de seneste i hvert fald hundrede år været stedet, hvor gæster fra både ind- og udland er taget til, for at opleve den unikke og fantastiske natur, for at bade i det skønne havvand - og ikke mindst for samtidig hygge sig i gode venners og families lag med musikalsk underholdning.

Tilbage i begyndelsen af år 1900, var der dansant til orkester på de ikoniske badehoteller, og i nutiden optræder musikere med eller uden band på byens mange spillesteder - og det er både lokale og nationale navne, der er på plakaten.

Skagen Festival, der finder sted fra 3. til 6. juli holder en elsket tradition i hævd, hvor musikelskere fra nær og fjern valfarter til byen, for  igen at opleve de mange musikere give den gas, og for at indsuge den helt specielle festivalatmosfære der mærkes over hele byen.

På programmet i år er kendte og populære navne som Poul Krebs, Rikke Thomsen med band, Sko/Torp, Tørfisk, Sømændene, Wolfstone og mange mange flere. Der er faktisk hele 58 koncerter at vælge mellem. Har du sikret dig en billet?

For many dog owners, a holiday is not a real holiday without their four-legged friend. Fortunately, Skagen is the perfect place to go with your dog – there is plenty of space for long walks, fun on the beach and cozy moments together.

Go for a walk on the beach at Grenen, at Råbjerg Mile or in the unique landscape at Den Tilsandede Kirke (The Sandburied Church) - you have a lot of choice when you and your dog need to go for a walk.

In Skagen you will also find two dedicated areas where your dog can run free. One at Byfogedskoven, and the other in a fenced area at Skagen Klitplantage. Here dogs can run happily around with a leash - and who knows, maybe they will meet a holiday friend who is out on the same errand as themselves?

So, pack the dog leash, the food bowl and of course the favourite toy – Skagen awaits with fun and exciting places, both for those with four paws and those who must make do with two legs.
