Holiday on horseback for everyoneThe Land of Light is an obvious place to go on a riding holiday or to take a trip on horseback. You can take your own horse with you and stay at a facility for horses. You can also rent a horse and equipment for a few hours or go on a half-day, full-day or multi-day excursion with a guide and everything arranged for you.
If your child's greatest wish is simply to be walked around a small fold on horseback, then this can also be arranged.

If you wish to have a holiday on horseback, a number of riding centres and schools in the Land of Light offer:
- riding instruction
- riding tours of varying lengths
- full day/multi-day tours with overnight stays in the countryside or at facilities catering for horses

Riding routes
At riderute.dk (in Danish) you can read more about the 175 km system of connected riding routes that are being established within the Land of Light region. The route passes along marked paths through some of the region's most beautiful countryside. You ride along forest roads and prepared paths, along hedges and boundaries at the edge of fields and woodlands - away from the main thoroughfares to ensure you can enjoy the peace and quiet. The riding route also has folds along the route where horses can take a break.
