Tordenskiold’s Festival
Every year during the last weekend in June Frederikshavn’s harbour and Krudtårnplads are transformed into one of Scandinavia’s largest maritime festivals. During the day you can
- Visit 17th century markets
- Watch soldiers marching throughout the town
- See the beautiful, large wooden ships
- Participate in some of the many activities for children, e.g., what about making your own wooden sword?
During the evening you can watch Tordenskiold defeat the Swedes in a huge sea battle.
