Lord of The Dance has toured around the world for 25 years, where more than 60 million have seen the show, making it one of the most successful dance productions in the world.
In this 25th anniversary show, Michael Flatley will revive and update the original version of Lord of The Dance - targeted at new generations of fans. Audiences can expect new music, new staging, new costumes and new choreography provided by 40 of the world's biggest star aspirants plus cutting-edge technological special effects and lighting. In other words, it is a fusion of the best of the traditional dance and the energy of new music and dance. The show, which the Los Angeles Times describes as "a showpiece extravaganza", takes the audience into a mysterious world through precision dance with more than 150,000 "taps", artistic lighting and pyrotechnics.
The foundation of Lord of The Dance stems from Michael Flatley's dream - a dream and an ambition to create the largest Irish dance show in the world. He turned the world's attention to Irish dance at Eurovision in 1994, laying the groundwork for Flatley to fulfill his dream.
